FAQ

Is Sarah J. Maas attending the cruise?
While we are all massive fans (see what we did there), Sarah J. Maas is not scheduled to attend this voyage. This is a fan-led group cruise designed for readers to connect, discuss the new release, and enjoy themed events together.
“This is an unofficial fan-inspired event and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Sarah J. Maas or Bloomsbury Publishing.”Is a copy of ACOTAR 6 provided with my booking?A copy of the book is not included in the cruise fare. Can I bring my family or a non-fan? Absolutely!
Your family is more than welcome. While you are off training like a Valkyrie or debating theories, they can enjoy all the world-class amenities Utopia of the Seas has to offer, from the water slides to the surf simulators.
I want to bring my husband—will he be bored?
Not at all! Even if he doesn’t know a Tamlin from Rysand! Utopia of the Seas is a "World’s Biggest Weekend" destination. Between the casino, the sports deck, live music, and the AquaDome shows, there is plenty for him to do while you’re in the "Inner Circle" sessions.
Can I book a single stateroom or
a room for more than two people?

Yes! While our standard quotes are based on double occupancy, we can accommodate solo travelers or larger groups/families in a single stateroom. Please reach out for a custom quote so we can find the best configuration for you.
more details about pre cruise hotels and other information will be available soon. Follow us on social media for the most current information.

Travel Requirements

Do I need a passport to sail?
For U.S. Citizens on "closed-loop" cruises (sailing from and returning to the same U.S. port), a passport is not required, but it is highly recommended. You can sail with a government-issued photo ID and a certified birth certificate. However, a passport makes the embarkation and disembarkation process much smoother!
Where does the ship depart from?
We set sail from Port Canaveral, Florida. If you are flying in, we recommend arriving at Orlando International Airport (MCO). We always suggest flying in at least one day prior to the cruise to avoid any travel delays!
Is there a dress code?
While Royal Caribbean has its own casual/formal nights, our events are the perfect place for "High Fae Fashion." Whether it’s full cosplay, a subtle court-inspired dress, or your favorite bookish merch, we want you to feel at home in Velaris (at sea).
